About Me
I consider myself to be a humanist. I value the power of relationships to promote growth and healing. Listening is an important part of communication. I listen closely to hear what you say. With empathy and acceptance, I can assist you in joining in this relationship. We already possess learnings that can decrease difficulties in life when we use them. Interpersonal relationships are an unused source of knowledge. As a therapist I offer this kind of interpersonal relationship to help explore your needs and feelings. Together we can work on a theory about what is happening with your life. I trust you to know how you want to be.

This is my 50th year practicing psychotherapy. I retired from my last job at the Mental Health Center of Denver in November 2023, but I’m not done yet. I was in private practice in psychotherapy in Denver for 30 years. I helped individual adults, couples, and families. Although I have done other kinds of work in social work including teaching, psychiatric evaluations, groups, family groups, and day treatment. By far my favorite job was my private practice, and I am happy to start that practice again.
It is as though he listened
and such listening as his enfolds us in a silence
in which at last we begin to hear
what we are meant to be.
